About our client
Our client, a well-known financial institution, is looking for a Financial Analyst to join their team.
Job description
As Financial Analyst you will be responsible for a variety of project tasks and will report to the Head of Accounting. Your responsibilities will include :
- General-ledger Accounting and related reconciliations in accordance with IFRS
- Corporate reporting in accordance with US GAAP
- Treasury Accounting and related system reconciliations
- Inter-company accounting
- Month-end and year-end close
- Compliance with local and corporate accounting policies
- Liaison with auditors and preparation for audits
- Management of accounting projects, processes and technology
- Certain taxation responsibilities, including transfer pricing
- Developing and maintaining internal controls
- Maintenance of accounting infrastructure and reference data
- Full Accounting Function for certain small entities domiciled in the location, including preparation of financial statements and liaising with auditors
Who we are looking for
- Financial Accounting degree, preferably qualified chartered accountant
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience
- Detailed knowledge of IFRS & US GAAP. Knowledge of Lux GAAP will be an advantage.
- Strong people and project Management skills
- Very good presentation and communication skills
- Perfectly fluent in English. French will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of Luxembourg regulatory environment is an advantage
- Knowledge of MS office and Accounting Systems (preferably SUN)
- Experience in a multi-national and changing environment
