Our client, an international bank, is looking for a Compliance Manager to join their Luxembourg office.
As Compliance Manager, you will report to the Head of Global Compliance, and have an advisory role towards senior management. Your responsibilities will include:
-Identification and assessment of the compliance risk and making necessary recommendations
-Performing regular and comprehensive compliance risks assessments and testing and reporting these results to senior management.
-Identifying laws and applicable regulations
-Establishing the compliance procedures and policies and monitoring their enforcement
-Centralizing information on compliance issues
-Analyzing all relevant documents such as internal control, internal audit reports, reports or minutes of senior management or, of the board of directors, reports of the external auditor and correspondence from the CSSF
-Analyzing the issues observed and recommends, where applicable, the necessary corrective measures in order to correct these deficiencies.
-Assisting and advising senior management in compliance matters
-Making employees aware of compliance issues, and developing the necessary training programs
-Handling communication with the authorities
Who we are looking for
-You have a minimum of 5 years experience in a compliance function within the banking sector in Luxembourg
-You have a deep knowledge of the compliance norms and laws relevant to Luxembourg
-You are fluent in English. French and/or Spanish is an advantage
-You are diplomatic and professional
-You have the ability to work autonomously or with a team
